You are asked to write 2-3 pages on methods. Before you start writing, I suggest you go through the chapters talking about sample, experimental design, survey research, and qualitative research methods. In your methods section, you need to design your own research on your research topic. You do not think about the funding issue, so just give me your ideal plan of the research. First, you need to define what is your sample, how will you select your sample, and what is the sample size. Please specify why you choose certain sample and the steps you will select your sample. Second, you need to make a decision whether you will use experimental design, deliver survey, or use qualitative methods. If it is an experimental design (or quasi-experimental design), please specify how you will implement this experiment and be detailed. If it is survey research, you do not need to provide the exact questions on the survey, but you need to mention what areas of questions you will ask. If it is qualitative methods, please pick one proper method and discuss in detailed how you will do it (such as intensive interview, participation observation, systematic observation, etc.). Third, you need to define what is your dependent variable and what is your key independent variable(s). You do not need to mention control variables, because I do not want you to dig too much into statistics. These are the three things I am looking for in your methods section.
