  • You're pretty much going to select 5-10 continuous lines from Euripides' Herakles and 5-10 continuous lines from Sophocles' Women of Trachis. Then you will compare and contrast those lines based on one of the two themes, (Glory or Hubris). The writing after you copy and paste the lines is to be at least 300 words. Do not read from any other translations except for the readings I gave you and do not use any lines for the discussion from any other translation or source. Also no plagiarism as the teacher does check.

  • This is what my professor said so make sure you read this: Critiques, in general, need more thought. Don't use your 100 words to summarize other's posts. Instead, use the analysis that you did to get the reader to think more broadly about the primary source we are reading. Spending your time telling them they did a great job, asking them several questions or posing unanswerable hypotheticals, etc., is hard to respond to and puts your classmate in a difficult position. After all, they need to respond in at least 100 words to your critique. Focus on making one observation or posing one question based off the in-depth analysis that you performed for your initial post to help them develop a response.
