Instruction
What my teacher said :
The final component of our class is a portfolio consisting of two parts: a reflective introductory essay and samples of your writing from the class. This work should demonstrate how you’ve met the course outcomes or in what ways you are still working towards them.
The reflective essay should, at minimum, be 1 single spaced page. In this essay, you are to explain what works are included in your portfolio, why you chose them, and what they exhibit. As for the works that you will include, select 3 items that show some application of a skill or practice that demonstrate your trajectory as a writer. Some examples of works you may include are major papers, summaries, informal writing, or essays you have written for other classes. If you choose to include writing from other classes, you must do so in addition to the 3 samples you’ve selected from our class.
You do not need to revise items that you will be including in your portfolio, but be mindful to submit pieces that reflect your skills or how they have developed.
